FAQ

What is SceneBud?

Scenebud is a platform to connect fans with artists, venues and events. We focus on live music and have a passion for the independent and DIY scenes. For now, artists can create profiles and post gigs and soon we'll be opening that up with much more functionality. Think of it like Linktree but specifically for independent music.

Why should I use Scenebud?

You should use Scenebud if you're passionate about independent music. Whether you're a fan, an artists or working in the industry, we'll be supporting you by offering a platform to discover and promote the best things that are going on. For that to work, it needs your support so please join us and play a part.

How do I get started?

It's as easy as hitting the Log In button and creating a profile. Once you're in, you'll be able to create a page for your artists and events. At the moment we're testing a limited featureset but soon you'll be able to do it for venues, promoters and record labels too.

Is Scenebud free?

It will always be free to create a profile and share your gigs. We believe that a free, music specific site for sharing and discovering live music would make a positive difference to independent music scenes and this is our way of delivering that.

How will you make money?

Right now, we are not monetised. Once we have built out the best experience for fans, artists and industry professionals alike, we'll deliver functionality to sell tickets and merchandise. From this we will take a small commission.

Why aren't you promoting my gig?

We rely primarily on our members posting these, so if you're not seeing your gig then sign up and get involved.

Will you do comedy or other types of events?

We're music people. We've spent our lives playing in bands, putting on gigs and generally having a blast. That's our focus. We have no plans to branch out into other areas.
