The band have a diverse range of original songs and unique covers, and are well known for their bold songwriting and compositions, loud distorted riffs and hauntingly beautiful vocals. This led them to be put forward as a nominee for the Youth Music Award in 2024 for their original song ‘Sick of It’.

The band’s lyrics focus on a wide variety of topics such as social injustice, lgbtq+ rights, living with disabilities, getting a little bit too drunk and accidentally ending up on stage and more. Comparable to bands such as Cheap Perfume, Destroy Boys, Voodoo Church, Agent Orange, Petrol Girls, The Cure and The Buzzcocks, Creeping Embers take influence from a variety of genres including punk, post punk, queercore, grunge, funk, folk, alternative rock and gothic rock, then smush it all together to create their own sound, ideal for both fans of these bands and new comers to the genres!
